Belisa Silk and Cashmere bends

Cashmere Silk - 1.5 ply lace weight 100g cone
Approximate length of yarn on the cone - 1045 yards (955m)

Cashmere wool blend - 1.5 ply lace weight 100g cone
50% cashmere / 50% wool (extra superfine merino)
Approximate length of yarn on the cone - 1045 yards (955m)

This blended yarn brings together the beautiful handling of two luxurious Australian fibers. Extra superfine Merino, a 16 micron wool that is softer than cashmere itself, and cashmere which is not only soft and sensuous to touch, but also light and warm to wear.

This yarn is lubricated for use in knitting machines, which also protects the fibres while you're hand knitting. With the first wash, the lubricant washes out.

· Warm hand wash using a soap-washing product suitable for wool
· It should be squeezed gently, not rubbed or wrung.
· Rinse in lukewarm water
· lightly spin
· Do not tumble dry
· Dry flat – protect from direct sunlight
· Do not bleach
· Dry cleaning is NOT recommended

For a thicker yarn, the recommendation from Belisa Cashmere is to knit 2 or 3 ends together. As a rough guide for an average sweater, you would need approximately 200g (2 cones) for knitting a single, 400-500g (4 to 5 cones) for knitting 2 ends together, or 600-700g (6 to 7 cones) for knitting 3 ends together.
