This is a 85% Wool, 15% Silk 8ply DK yarn, featuring 11 shades with light flex texture. These yarns are featured in Cleckheaton Country Silk 8ply - book 949 - which you can find in our Book section.
Specifications
Australian 8 ply is the equivalent of DK weight yarn.
One ball of yarn is 50g (1ľoz) and approximately 95 meters (105 yards) in length.
Gauge : 22 stitches and 30 rows, measured over 10cm (4") Stocking Stitch using 4.00mm needles (USA 6) (UK 8).
Care Instructions
Hand Washing
For the best result, turn garment inside out and gently hand wash in lukewarm water, using a wool detergent. Rinse thoroughly in lukewarm water. Rinse again in cold water.
Drying
To remove excess moisture after washing, roll garment inside a large towel and gently squeeze, alternatively, spin dry inside a pillow case. Never tumble dry. Place garment on a flat surface in the shade to dry, coaxing it back into shape whilst damp. Drying flat is recommended. Do not dry directly in front of an open or artificial fire.
Dry cleanable.
