Frida Kahlo Jacket was designs just for the fun of knitting intarsia, I took it to a craft show and got 2 knitting kit orders and 2 garment orders!
The garment is knitted from a graph per garment piece, with a total of 28 colours.
The kit has sufficient yarn for all sizes, with 6 chest sizes to fit from 36" to 52"/ 89cm - 132cm with a slight A line into the hip - so hip has 5" - 6"/13cm - 15cm ease and the chest 2"- 3"ease/ 5cm - 8cm.
Model Natalia is wearing the third chest size - chest 45"/ 114cm.
The front bands are knitted with the front in a large basket stitch, these place extra ease into the fronts and button placement can adjust chest size slightly when finishing.
I picked Peacock as the base colour, as there is something magic about combining greens and reds, it also creates enough contrast to Frida's black hair.
Peacock - is the lighter and slighter more green base colour.
Steel is darker and a green/navy - actually a dark denim - and you can wear this with either black or navy and looks great.
I am happy to send a free shade card.
Note button placement is paired and uneven intentionally. The kit includes 6 buttons, the 6th been a spare - or an extra if you wish to rearrange my uneven button placement.
